World Challenge 2010 is a competition organised by BBC World News Limited ("BBC World News") aimed at finding projects or small businesses from around the world that have shown enterprise and innovation at a grass roots level ("Competition"). We want to hear from our viewers about the social entrepreneurs who are making a difference without costing the earth. It could be you or someone you know. All nominations, entries and votes related to the Competition must comply with these terms and conditions ("World Challenge Competition Rules"); failure to do so may result in disqualification. Now in its sixth year, World Challenge is a global competition aimed at finding projects or small businesses from around the world that have shown enterprise and innovation at a grassroots level. World Challenge is brought to you by BBC World News and Newsweek, in association with Shell and is about championing and rewarding projects and businesses which really make a difference.

The Tech Awards is an international awards program that honors innovators from around the world who are applying technology to benefit humanity.The Tech Awards program inspires global engagement in applying technology to humanity's most pressing problems by recognizing the best of those who are utilizing innovative technology solutions to address the most urgent critical issues facing our planet. People all over the world are profoundly improving the human condition in the areas of education, equality, environment, health, and economic development through the use of technology. The $1.5 million (U.S.) Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize is awarded annually to an organization making extraordinary contributions toward alleviating human suffering anywhere in the world. Nominations are sought from throughout the international community and will close APRIL 30, 2010. An independent international panel of jurors will make the final selection; the award recipient will be announced in the spring of 2011.
