  • 2009欧洲无偿服务论坛 (2009年11月5日至6日 @ 布达佩斯特) - 公益法研究所(PILI)邀请律师事务所律师、独立执业者、企业律师、非盈利组织法律代表、非政府组织法律代表、学术届、学生和其它有志于提高志愿者法律实践的人。 "2009欧洲无偿服务论坛"将关注全球经济危机及其对无偿服务实践的影响。有志于为穷人和社会边缘人口提供服务的组织将面对巨大的挑战。 但论坛会探寻危机带来的机会,培养法律企业和私人从业者更多地承担无偿服务工作。公益法研究所的目标是找到创新的解决方案,帮助律师和非政府组织及非盈利组织建立联系,使这些公益事业服务者经受住经济风暴。

  • (深度访问)帮助朝鲜难民融入韩国社会 - 哈纳文重新安置培训中心(Hanawon)是韩国政府为了帮助来自朝鲜的难民融入韩国社会而设立的一个机构。哈纳文的第一任女性最高长官说韩国民众不可能一方面要求政府不管这些难民,让他们在街上自生自灭,另一方面还期望他们像这边社会的正常人一样过体面的生活。

  • 2009 European Pro Bono Forum (November 5-6, 2009 @ Budapest, Hungary) -- The Public Interest Law Institute (PILI) invites lawyers from law firms, solo practitioners, corporate counsel, representatives of non-profit and nongovernmental organizations, academics, students, and anyone interested in promoting volunteer legal practice to join us in Budapest for the 2009 European Pro Bono Forum on 5-6 November 2009. The 2009 European Pro Bono Forum will focus on the global economic crisis and its effects on pro bono practice and the third sector. Organizations dedicated to serving the needs of poor and marginalized populations face great challenges, yet the Forum will explore opportunities presented by the crisis to foster greater commitment to pro bono work by law firms and private practitioners. PILI aims to devise innovative solutions to help lawyers connect with NGOs and nonprofit organizations, allowing these stewards of the public interest to weather the economic storm.
  • Detecting and responding to substance use related harms: The ASSIST (Alcohol, Smoking and Substances Involvement Screening Test) and Brief Intervention to reduce HIV risk (August 8, 2009 @ Bali, Indonesia) -- This event is organised by the WHO Collaborating Centre based at University of Adelaide, Australia, with an aim of Capacity Building of Health Personnel for Screening and Brief Intervention (SBI) for Psychoactive Substance use in Primary Health Care Settings; for Identifying linkages between SBI and HIV risk taking behaviour amongst psychoactive substance users; and for Identifying role of SBI in reducing risk of harm (e.g. Blood borne viruses, overdose) from Substance use. Health professionals and organizations who are involved in providing treatment and health care to people who are at risk of harm due to psychoactive substance use, injecting drugs and HIV should attend this workshop.
